A Random Dream of Punishment

It was dark and above a city was the moon about twice the size it should have been. All of a sudden the moon was wreathed in fire and the sun came out from behind it. The sun then went out and the moon flew into a thousand pieces. The shockwave could be seen coming to earth through the void; though, when it hit there was no concussion, and the world only went black and a dull gray light appeared all around. Fear could be felt, it was tangible. The mind was put in panic and every sin was thrown before the eyes. Despair came from nowhere. Everything that was made by God’s hands was no more. The stars were gone, the moon was gone, the sun was gone, the light of the world was gone. Only those things which were man made such as gray cement buildings, and the black asphalt streets were left along with the gray light. After some time in the streets, a Cathedral was revealed which was also seen as grayish in color. Though no noise came from within, there was a steady glow of true light radiating out of the stained glass windows which were a mix of color and of that gray light of mankind. Once entered, the Cathedral disappeared and the dream was no more.
